The young has been a source of perennial interest in most human societies. Their activities have become one of society's major preoccupation as they have years to live, and the time to change the circumstances. Therefore, the youths must be properly socialized to minimize any potential societal disruption when they begin to play a major role in society. Are the youth in Singapore properly socialized and inculcate with the correct values to ensure a smooth continuation of the Singaporean society? Are the youths just one category, or are there different types of youths who present themselves as different problems to different people, Therefore, I will attempt a look at how the youths are socially defined in Singapore, and the types of undesirable values and/or behaviours which they may be susceptible to. In this respect, the approach which I feel could provide a clue to examining this youth problem would be through the type of organisations that have been formed to cater to the youth.
