Authors: SHANG ZHENHUA
Keywords: mesoporous, confinement, hydrophilic polymer
Issue Date: 4-Apr-2007
Citation: SHANG ZHENHUA (2007-04-04). Growth of hydrophilic polymer chains inside mesoporous silica micro-spheres. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.
Abstract: This master thesis consists of three topics: first, polymerization environmental effect when both anionic and cationic monomers are polymerized in the mesopores (with the pore diameters in the range of 2-50nm) of silica microspheres; and second, study of the ionmer-loaded silica microspheres with focusing on the interfacial behaviors, and third, investigation of grafting anionic ionmer chains to the silica microspheres and characterization of their fluid dynamic behaviors and interfacial properties.
