Abstract: 

THIS THESIS DOCUMENTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF E-CONTROL SOLUTIONS WHICH ENABLES INTERNET ACCESS TO THE STATE-OF-THE-ART OF ADVANCED PROCESS CONTROL TECHNOLOGY. IT HAS THE FOLLOWING COMPUTATIONAL FEATURES:

FOUR MAJOR FUNCTIONS: SIMULATION, IDENTIFICATION, CONTROLLER DESIGN, AND AUTO-TUNING;

PROCESS IDENTIFICATION FROM TWO MOST POPULAR TESTS: STEP RESPONSE AND RELAY TUNING;

TWO MOST COMMONLY USED CONTROL SCHEMES: UNITY OUTPUT FEEDBACK CONTROL AND INTERNAL MODEL CONTROL;

PID AND ADVANCED CONTROLLERS; AND

HANDLING OF SYSTEMS WITH UP TO THREE INPUTS AND THREE OUTPUTS.

E-CONTROL SOLUTIONS CAN BE USED TO PERFORM EXPERIMENTS FOR STUDENTS, CONDUCT STUDIES FOR RESEARCHERS AND OBTAIN PLANT MODEL AND CONTROLLER FOR ENGINEERS. IT IS IDEAL FOR INSTITUTIONAL LABS, COMPANY R&D DEPARTMENTS AND INDUSTRIAL PLANTS INVOLVING MODELING AND CONTROL. IT IS INTUITIVE TO USE WITHOUT PRESUMED KNOWLEDGE OF ANY PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE OR ADVANCED CONTROL.
