Abstract: This article aims to review the current trends of blockchain developments and their drivers across various industries in Singapore and its Asia-Pacific environment. It also examines how the Singapore government interacts with the industry and academia to formulate regulations to mitigate the risks and inform policies to harness the potential of blockchain innovations. It concludes with implications for policymakers in innovation promotion, consumer and investor protection, as well as human capital and market development.
