Abstract: The controllability of collective electron states is of great importance for the sake of new electronic devices and next generation of condensed matter physics. TaS2 is a good candidate for investigating manipulation of collective electron states due to the various electron states in its phase diagram. In this work, we demonstrated manipulation of charge density wave (CDW) order in TaS2 nanoflake through different ways. We first demonstrated the thermal annealing induction of a 1T to 1H polymorph transition on the surface of 1T-TaS2 nanocrystal, and as a result, surface confined superconductivity was switched on 1T-TaS2. In addition, we reported layer dependent CDW in thin film 2H-TaS2 prepared by MBE method. Last but not least, we showed the suppressed and anisotropic CDW transitions in few-layer 1T-TaS2 crystal via applying black phosphorus as a substrate. We also observed conductance oscillations modulated by field gate effect in 1T-TaS2 /BP van der Walls heterostructure device.
