dc.description.abstract | With the rapid development of Internet, knowledge and information have grown exponentially. Managing and sharing the knowledge and information are becoming more crucial in various aspects, such as AI, application of E-commerce, E-learning, etc. There are barriers in providing an effective and efficient way to navigate, search, and modify the domain knowledge. One example of such barriers in knowledge sharing is from E-learning, which has the barriers of massive resources of information, complex material generation, continuous maintenance, and lack of repair mechanism. In order to solve the problems, we develop an online system that allows navigation, visualization, searching and querying of the domain knowledge. We deploy a domain ontology, an emerging representational model in both industrial and research areas, for knowledge sharing and management. Furthermore, we utilize KAON as the ontology management framework to develop the online system. In addition, we add new modules to KAON in order to produce the online system for visualizing the whole domain knowledge and searching the shortest path between two entities in the domain ontology. This project plays a pioneer role and lays the fundamental architecture for the ongoing iLearn project. | |
