Citation: TAN KIM LIANG (1987). WORK VALUES AND COMMITMENT IN AN AMERICAN MNC IN SINGAPORE. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.
Abstract: The work values and commitment of employee in an American MNC in Singapore were measured. Work values were correlated with commitment. A stronger positive relationship was found between Intrinsic Work Values and Commitment with a corresponding non-relationship between Extrinsic Work Values and Commitment. Further investigation into this relationship by studying the moderating effects of demographic variables on the relationship revealed that tenure, years of work experience and religion were significant moderators.
