dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, we study two economic models with a continuum of agents: large games and large economies. We first demonstrate that distinguishing agent space and trait type space via nowhere equivalence condition is not only sufficient but also necessary for the existence of pure strategy Nash equilibrium and closed graph property of finite-action large games with traits. Next, we characterize equilibrium distributions of large games with traits. The Nash equilibrium action distributions of large distributional games are also characterized. In the end, we present a comprehensive theory of large economies in which agents have names and bio-social traits. We identify a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of the competitive equilibrium in large economies with traits.
