Abstract: This thesis reports on the experimental investigation of ice harvesting system. The performance of this system with ice making and defrosting mode was conducted in a laboratory and the results were analyzed. The main element of this experiment is an ice storage designed with the water spraying, brine circulation, and two ice making plates. For the ice harvesting performance, the range of ice thickness and gross ice production range were conducted. In addition, the average electrical energy consumption (kW/ton of ice), the effectiveness of plates (%), the range of COP were determined.
