dc.description.abstract | It is envisaged in Singapore, safety culture and organisational wellness will rise in dominance, as triggered by two developments - the applicability of Workplace Safety and Health Act to all workplaces and the collaboration of the Health Promotion Board and Ministry of Manpower to integrate workplace safety and health. However, there is minimal research in the relationship between the two even though literature suggests that organisational wellness and safety culture are related. This paper investigates the relationship between the two using data from the Integrated Workplace Safety and Health Services study. Using a mixed research design, the results show that organisational wellness and safety culture are strongly related and this can be explained by the finding that organisational wellness facilitates a process of learning that is conducive for development of safety culture. | |
