In wireless communications, the power amplifier is a critical part of the transceiver. Linear modulation used in modern wireless communications requires linear power amplifier. In this thesis, a third order complex analog predistorter is used to improve the linearity. An improved circuit topology for the analog multiplier, that was suited for the predistorter, was used. The predistorter was tested with an actual RF power amplifier at low-IF and baseband with different input test signals. Then the use of predistorter was extended to Radio Over Fiber system.
