dc.description.abstractThis dissertation consists of three chapters empirically studying the determinants and impacts of international trade. The first chapter investigates the impact of China’s export expansion during 2000-2007 on regional intergenerational education mobility. The second chapter explores the longitude effect of international trade on life satisfaction of Chinese people. The third chapter examines how political distance change between two countries affects their bilateral trade in the contemporary world.
