dc.description.abstractProtein tyrosine kinase signaling cascade plays a pivotal role in the activation of inflammatory cells. The purpose of my thesis was to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of genistein, a broad-spectrum protein tyrosine kinase inhibitor; U0126, a specific MAPK/ERK kinase (MEK) inhibitor, and LY294002, a PI3K inhibitor in asthmatic animal models.
