Abstract: Augmented Reality (AR) that combines three-dimensional virtual informationand real world provides a large space for tangible interface applications. The contri-bution of this thesis work is twofold: on one hand, it demonstrates a kind of totallynovel, tangible and natural interaction method for the HCI research; on the otherhand it provides new applications in the areas of Augmented Reality gaming designand military usage. In this project, the main research objectives that have beenachieved can be categorized into four parts: A non-hardware tangible interactionAR system: magic book; Some research on 3D sound in AR as an enhancement ofthe interfaces; A tangible 3D augmented reality map scrolling interaction systemwith hardware interface tilt pad; And a multimedia augmented reality gaming sys-tem interacted with tilt pad.
