IMPACT OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES ON DAY-TO-DAY CONSTRUCTION -- TOWARD USAGE OF UAV IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY FOR A BIM-POSITIONING SYSTEM. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | In recent years, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles have become more and more complex. Autonomous flight is turning to reality. In the meantime, Building Information Modelling is pushing the construction industry toward more accurate project management. This work explores the usage of UAV to enhance BIM usage. The technical challenge is important. The thesis focuses on the localization of the robot, within a construction site when a BIM model is known. Simulations and sensors based tests are carried out. The results are promising. | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/135239 |
