dc.description.abstract | Glaucoma is an eye disease that leads to irreversible damage and vision loss. Progression of glaucoma is slow, and many patients remain unaware of their condition. As the leading cause of blindness around the world, it is essential to be able to detect and diagnose glaucoma at the early stages. This thesis presents different approaches to perform feature detection and analysis for two different types of retinal images. The images used are fundus photograph and optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans. The results can subsequently be used to perform classification and detection of pathogenic eyes. These methods help in detection of glaucoma, as the features used for each type of image are common indicators of glaucoma. | |
