ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||The plasma transferrin, measured by radial immunodiffusion, increases during pregnancy. It falls to below non pregnant levels during the puerperium. Prophylactic iron therapy during pregnancy was able to maintain a satisfactory level of Hb, PCV and plasma iron but was unable to abolish the rise in plasma iron binding capacity.||Source Title:||Singapore Medical Journal||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/133202||ISSN:||00375675|
