|Issue Date:||1988||Citation:||Pho, R.W.H., Patterson, M.H., Kour, A.K., Kumar, V.P. (1988). Free vascularised epiphyseal transplantation in upper extremity reconstruction. Journal of Hand Surgery 13 B (4) : 440-447. ScholarBank@NUS Repository.||Abstract:||We describe preliminary observations on the use of free vascularised transfer of proximal fibular epiphysis in replacement of proximal humeral epiphysis or distal radial epiphysis in three patients. An analysis of the early results shows evidence of longitudinal growth, graft hypertrophy and epiphyseal adaptation in transplanted epiphysis. A review of the problems in this type of surgery is included.||Source Title:||Journal of Hand Surgery||URI:||http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/131347||ISSN:||02667681|
