dc.description.abstractThis thesis presents a systematically investigation on the parametric processes in nonlinear photonic crystals with various quasi-phase-matching structure designs. The researche works cover the optical parametric oscillation in 3-4um wavelength range in 1D nonlinear photonic crystal with periodic and aperiodic quasi-phase-matching structures, the quasi-phase-mismatch effect and parametric process in reset- and cascaded- periodic quasi-phase-matching structures, as well as the study of the diffraction model in nonlinear photonic crystal with 1D and 2D Bravais lattices.
