dc.description.abstract | In this paper, the use and the effect of magneto-dielectric materials in two antenna structures, namely waveguide antenna and coaxial antenna, is discussed. For different values of the permeability and permittivity of the material, the effect of the material on the wave impedance and the return loss performance of waveguide and coaxial antennas are compared. It was shown that the material loading has significant effect on the two antenna performance. A theoretical analysis is provided to explain the effect of the material loading on these two antenna structures. © 2011 Engineers Australia. | |
