dc.description.abstractMy thesis is titled Essays on International Trade and consists of three chapters. It is empirical study of trade in nature and specialized in trade policy and international production fragmentation. The first chapter investigates whether trade liberalization affects industrial agglomeration. The second chapter relates Linder Hypothesis, an old theory with international production fragmentation, a new development. The third chapter documents China's significant and increasing role in international production fragmentation and quantify the trade and welfare effects of China's WTO accession.
