Abstract: Magnetic Fe-based nanomaterials had found its applications in wide range of fields, such as biomedicine, power and data storage. This work mainly investigated wet chemical synthesis, magnetic and electrical properties of Fe-based systems in both nanoparticle and film forms. A wide wet-chemical route was demonstrated to grow epitaxial thick Fe3O4, ferrite, FeCo, FePt films as well as their corresponding nanoparticles. The potential applications of Fe3O4 had been explored for microwave absorption, MEMS supercapacitor and hyperthermia. In addition, Fe-3d metal alloy (FeCo) and Fe-5d metal alloy (FePt) had been studied for their magnetic properties and their potential application of biomedicine and data storage.
