T COMPONENT 1, Q SUBCOMPONENT BINDING PROTEIN (C1QBP) IS A PROTEIN INVOLVED IN CARCINOGENESIS. IN CLINICAL BREAST CANCER SAMPLES, THE EXPRESSION OF C1QBP WAS ASSOCIATED WITH TUMOR SIZE AND LYMPH NODE SPREAD. MULTIVARIATE ANALYSIS IMPLICATED C1QBP AS AN INDEPENDENT PREDICTOR OF TUMOR SIZE IN PROGESTERONE-RECEPTOR POSITIVE BREAST CANCER. CORRESPONDINGLY, PROGESTERONE-RECEPTOR POSITIVE T47D BREAST CANCER CELLS DEPLETED OF C1QBP, REDUCED CELL PROLIFERATION. IN MDA-MB-231 CELLS, C1QBP NOT ONLY PROMOTED CELL CYCLE PROGRESSION ? VIA CYCLIN D1 AND CDK4/6 ? BUT ALSO, CELL MIGRATION, INVASION AND CHEMORESISTANCE. GENOME-WIDE MICROARRAY AND ANTIBODY ARRAY REVEALED THAT C1QBP COULD MEDIATE THE ERK1/2 AND STAT3 PATHWAYS. ALONGSIDE P-STAT3, ITS DOWNSTREAM TARGETS ? BCL2, MCL1 AND P53 ? WERE ALSO AFFECTED. SILAC-IMMUNOPRECIPITATION QUANTITATIVE PROTEOMICS PERFORMED IDENTIFIED Y-BOX BINDING PROTEIN 1, AS AN INTERACTING PARTNER OF C1QBP, WHICH MAY BE PARTIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR C1QBP?S CARCINOGE
