Title: | CENTRALIZED AND DISTRIBUTED OPTIMIZATION OF LOAD DISPATCH PROBLEM INCORPORATING DISTRIBUTED GENERATION | Authors: | TAN SICONG | Keywords: | DISTRIBUTED OPTIMIZATION,CENTRALIZED OPTIMIZATION,LOAD DISPATCH,DISTRIBUTED GENERATION | Issue Date: | 12-Aug-2014 | Citation: | TAN SICONG (2014-08-12). CENTRALIZED AND DISTRIBUTED OPTIMIZATION OF LOAD DISPATCH PROBLEM INCORPORATING DISTRIBUTED GENERATION. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Economic dispatch (ED) is an important problem in power system operations. With the increasing environmental concerns, the traditional power system is facing a problem of increasing penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs). The thesis starts investigating the ED problem from the micro-grid islanding operations by two multi-objective optimization algorithms. Furthermore, the thesis investigates the ED problem of the distribution network with distributed energy resources. Additionally, the thesis proposed a novel consensus based algorithm to solve ED problem in a distributed manner. On top of that, the thesis improves the existing distributed ED algorithm in literature by bringing loss information into consideration. | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/121344 |
