dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, we focus on the problem of automatically generating LEGO models similar in appearance to the given 3D digital models.Building 3D LEGO models manually requires considerable trial-and-error even for small models. Even for experienced designers, it is not easy to generate balanced and structurally strong LEGO models on a large scale. Our system automatically generates a set of instructions for building balanced and structurally strong LEGO models from 3D digital models, which could simplify the fabrication of LEGO models
