ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1109/EUMA.2000.338800 | Abstract: | This paper demonstrates a novel means of feeding a broadband suspended plate antenna, where a coaxial probe-fed capacitive feeder coplanar with the plate is employed. The suspended plate with introduction of capacitive feeder acting as a matching network causes a broad impedance bandwidth. A rectangular suspended plate antenna with a narrow probefed strip has been fabricated and examined experimentally. The proposed design shows good performances with wide impedance bandwidth of up to the order of 30%, stable radiation patterns, and high average gain of 4-5dBi. © 2000 IEEE. | Source Title: | 2000 30th European Microwave Conference, EuMC 2000 | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/116698 | DOI: | 10.1109/EUMA.2000.338800 |
