Abstract: A novel diode linearizer has been developed for the CDMA power amplifier application. Compared with the traditional series diode linearizer, the dynamic range of the compensation of positive amplitude and negative phase is increased and both compensation curves for amplitude and phase become more monotonously change because of the improvement of the input return loss in this novel diode linearizer. Applying this novel diode linearizer to the CDMA power amplifier, 4 dBc in ACPR (Adjacent Channel Power Rejection) and 5 dBc in ICP3 (Third Order Intercept Point) have been achieved at the same output power and PAE test conditions. © 1999 IEEE.
