Abstract: Multilayer multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) silicone composite membranes with thickness greater than 10 μm were prepared with a spin-coating method. Dielectric permittivity and tunability of the circular membranes were measured from 0.1 to 7 GHz by using a single-port coaxial line method. The frequency and bias voltage dependent dielectric properties were interpreted based on percolation theory. The MWCNT membranes could be potentially used to develop smart components and structures working at radio wave or microwave frequencies. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
