These two cities are frequently compared along a number of dimensions. Economically, Hong Kong and Singapore are among some of the world's most competitive cities. Socially, they have provided access to housing and rehoused a greater proportion of their populations in high-rise public housing in recent decades. Environmentally, they are increasingly considered among the region's top 10 cities in international quality of life surveys.
