dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a single-layer single-element probe-fed slotted plat antenna is presented, which features a broad impedance bandwidth and low cross-polarization levels. Experiments on its input impedance and radiation patterns show that by thickening aired substrate supporting the plate, unsurprisingly, the impedance bandwidth reaches up to the order of 20%. Both the stable radiation patterns and the low cross-polarization levels, typically, lower than -20dB are observed across the pass-band. The 5.7-7.9dBi gains are also obtained within the pass-band. | |
