Abstract: An alternative way of producing low field magnetoresistance (LFMR) La 0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (LSMO) thin films with the addition of Al2O3 as an insulator component was presented. The deposited Al2O3-LSMO films were characterized using X ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and electro and magnetotransport measurements. It was found that the main phase in the Al 2O3-LSMO composite films was the perovskite phase. It was also found that the metal-insulator transition temperature decreased as a result of addition of Al2O3, which further reduced with increasing Al2O3 content.
