dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we introduce the notion of inference channels and consider their truth values flowing among these channels. We shall study the mathematical structure of these inference channels based on a framework of knowledge representation and thus establish a theory of inference to gain an insight into the core of approximate reasoning.
