Abstract: Vaccines have been successfully developed against vibriosis in maricultured grouper. Grouper were vaccinated with the vaccines against infection of V. vulnificus, and significant immune protection was achieved in all vaccinated groups. The study demonstrated that LPS of V. vulnificus is the protective antigen for grouper. The high-level dictary vitamin C could increase resistance to V. vulnificus infection and enhance the humoral immune response in grouper. Vaccination and feeding with high-level dietary vitamin C might be an effective way to control vibrosits in grouper aquaculture.
