Abstract: In this paper we study the superconductivity for a sample subjected to an applied magnetic field and slightly below the critical temperature Tc. We use the Ginzburg-Landau functional to estimate the value of the critical field Hc, and examine the superconductivity when temperature is close to Tc and the applied field is below Hc. © 2003 American Institute of Physics.
