Abstract
Base flipping in B-DNA crystal structures and the movement of a flipped base in methyltransferase-DNA crystal structures are studied based on a full atomic level description of bond rotational motions. The effects of restraints from enzyme-distorted DNA backbone on the movement of a flipped base in a number of methyltransferase bound DNA crystal structures are investigated.
