Abstract
The thesis is a critique on the production of historical narratives by the privileged and its impact and influence on society at large. It explores the possibility of changing the way history is produced, understood and received by empowering the common people through their own life stories. It seeks to break apart the notion of a single coherent history and proposes instead that history should be understood as a mash of fragments and read through the logic of interrelation as opposed to linear sequence.
In driving this intent, the thesis proposes the program of a mu- seum dedicated to the life stories of the common people. Specifi- cally, it proposes the housing of an actual organization that calls itself the museum of the person.
