Abstract
Southeast Asia is one of the world’s most vulnerable regions to climate change. Since the last
international climate conference held in Madrid two years ago, the region has made significant
progress in charting out its transition plan towards a low carbon future. This policy brief explores
Southeast Asia’s approach to the upcoming Glasgow COP26 climate conference, and identifies the key
elements that will need to be finalised in order for countries in the region to achieve the objectives of
the Paris Agreement.
