Abstract: Elimination theory and resultants are important manipulative tools that contribute theoretical insights and practical algorithms to computer graphics and geometric modeling. In this tutorial, resultant properties are listed to enhance overall understanding of resultants. For bivariate resultants, two explicit expressions are presented: the Sylvester matrix and the Bezout determinants.
