Title: | Thermal, electrical and structural characterization of Li2O·P2O5·MoO3 glasses | Authors: | Chowdari, B.V.R. Tan, K.L. Chia, W.T. Gopalakrishnan, R. |
Issue Date: | Aug-1990 | Citation: | Chowdari, B.V.R.,Tan, K.L.,Chia, W.T.,Gopalakrishnan, R. (1990-08). Thermal, electrical and structural characterization of Li2O·P2O5·MoO3 glasses. Solid State Ionics 40-41 (PART 2) : 684-688. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Among the glasses studied in the (1-x)(0.50Li2O·0.50P2O5) · xMoO3 system the glass with composition 0.30Li2O·0.30P2O5·0.40MoO 3 is found to have the highest Tg=382°C while that with composition 0.35Li2O·0.35P2O5·0.30MoO 3 has the highest σ25°C=1.01×10-8Ω-1 cm-1. Mixed former effect is identified as the cause for the enhancement in conductivity as compared to that of the binary Li2O· P2O5 system. The observed increase in the ratio of the lower BE O 1s peak to the higher BE O 1s peak with increase in the MoO3 content is explained by attributing these two peaks to oxygen in various linkages such as P=O, P-O-P, P-O-Mo, Mo-O-Mo, {A figure is presented}, Mo-O, P-O- Li+ and Mo-O- Li+. © 1990. | Source Title: | Solid State Ionics | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/98375 | ISSN: | 01672738 |
