Local and nonlocal content of bipartite qubit and qutrit correlations. Physical Review A - Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics 77 (4) : -. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevA.77.042112 | Abstract: | The local and nonlocal contents of nonlocal probability distributions are studied using the approach of Elitzur, Popescu, and Rohrlich. This work focuses on distributions that can be obtained by single-copy von Neumann measurements on bipartite quantum systems. For pure two-qubit states | Ψ (θ) =cosθ | 00 +sinθ | 11 (with cosθ sinθ), the local content of the corresponding probability distribution is found to lie between 1-sin2θ and cos2θ. For the family | Ψ (γ) = (| 00 + | 11 +γ | 22 ) / 2+ γ2 of two-qutrit states, nonzero local content is found for γ>2. © 2008 The American Physical Society. | Source Title: | Physical Review A - Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/97078 | ISSN: | 10502947 | DOI: | 10.1103/PhysRevA.77.042112 |
