Abstract: The quantum localization effect was studied in Arnold's quantum cat map model. The coarse-grained entropy and time averaged phase space distributions was investigated. Results showed the time average of the coarse-grained Wigner function were scarred along short periodic orbits and their depths decreased linearly with the Planck constant on reaching the semiclassical limit.
