Abstract: The role of cavalency in determining the bulk moduli of tetrahedral semiconductors is shown to yield an accurate expression for calculating the bulk modulus for these materials. A bulk modulus is obtained using lattice constant and gave reasonable agreement with experimental and other calculations. © 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
