Abstract: Titanium-containing pure polymorph C was synthesis using commercially available tetraethylammonium hydroxide (TEA+) as the structure directing agent (SDA), and characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen absorption and field-emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) techniques. Increasing titanium loadings resulted in the loss in the crystallinity of Ti-containing polymorph C. It was found Ti was incorporated into the BEC framework as tetrahedral atoms by an isomorphous substituition mechanism. © 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
