A zeolite-filled MMM was prepared through the incorporation of zeolite into a Matrimid polyimide matrix. It was observed that the selectivity and permeability of carbon-zeolite composite membranes increase tremendously after carbonization. The carbon-zeolite composite membrane possesses higher separation efficiency than the carbon membrane derived from a pure Matrimid dense film. The results show that carbon-zeolite composite membranes provide impressive separation efficiency with reasonable high permeability for CO 2/CH4 gases. | Source Title: | Carbon | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/88615 | ISSN: | 00086223 | DOI: | 10.1016/j.carbon.2005.03.003 |
