Abstract: In this paper, we propose an automatic analysis method to facilitate the quantitative evaluation of myocardial perfusion MR images. We first extract the perfusion parameters from the intensity-time curve and combine them in a color image, in which myocardial ischemia is relatively easy to detect. Then we use the appropriate parameter maps to segment the myocardium by evolving level set functions. The experimental results show that the proposed method succeeds in extracting parameters and segmenting the myocardium.
