The recent development of cellular phones has resulted in an increasing public concern about the biological effects of electromagnetic (EM) fields on the human head. This paper presents the computation of the specific absorption rate (SAR) distribution inside a multilayered prolate spheroidal model of human head exposed to a GSM dipole, using spheroidal vector wave functions.
