dc.description.abstract | The parameter estimation problem for continuous-time linear and nonlinear mechanical system is considered in a unified framework and the ordinary discrete-time linear least squares approach is extended in a natural manner to these systems. To avoid the measurements of accelerations, a direct integral method is presented and shown, by simulation studies of a planar robot dynamics identification, to be almost equivalent to the method requiring the measurements of accelerations. | |
