Abstract: Rigid-rod poly(p-phenylenevinylene) derivative with an alternating structure containing oligo(ethylene oxide) side chains was synthesized by the Wittig reaction of the corresponding triphenylphosphonium chloride and dialdehyde compounds. The obtained derivative was characterized by DSC thermogram and other relevant measurements.
