|Abstract:||It has been reported that phenoxy is miscible with poly(methyl methacrylate), poly(tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate) and poly(tetrahydropyranyl-2-methyl methacrylate). However, we have found that phenoxy is immiscible with poly(ethyl methacrylate), poly(n-propyl methacrylate), poly(n-butyl methacrylate), poly(methylthiomethyl methacrylate), poly(methoxymethyl methacrylate) and poly(methoxycarbonylmethyl methacrylate). The miscibility behavior of various phenoxy/polymethacrylate blends cannot be satisfactorily explained by a non-hydrogen-bonded solubility parameter approach. © 1993 Springer-Verlag.|
