Asymmetric synthesis of two diastereomeric P-chiral diphosphine ligands containing a pair of dissimilar asymmetric phosphorus donor atoms

Abstract

Two diastereoisomeric P-chiral diphosphine ligands, each containing a pair of dissimilar phosphorus donor atoms, have been prepared efficiently in their optically pure forms from a chiral organopalladium complex-promoted asymmetric Diels-Alder reaction between l-phenyl-3,4-dimethyl-phosphole and methylphenylvinylphosphine.
